This piece was inspired by M.C. Escher, an artist who is famous for his visually paradoxical art with stairs and optical illusions. The most difficult thing with this project was actually the windows on the buildings. Eventually I drew the windows in Illustrator, taking about 2 hours for each building. Once I completed the city itself, I exported it to Illustrator where I drew it's residents.
